I used a Panasonic HX-DC3 Dual Camera Camcorder at the beginning (as in my earlier blogs) but now I just use my iPhone 11. It does the job for now :)

Believe or not, using your Android or iPhone (less than 3 years old) is probably the best way to start. Many experienced Youtubers continue to use their phone as their primary camera if not a secondary camera.
110% agree with you here, Matt!

JUST DO IT with whatever setup you have. Looking back 3-6-9 months, I'm almost embarrassed about the quality of what I was doing, AND hopefully, I'll feel the same in 6-9 months from now looking back at today's output. You just record, edit, post, move on and learn! Make one tiny little tweak per video and before you know it, you're 100 vids further and learnt so much along the way!

I've grown my entire account using an iPhone11 (I liked its wider angle option and 4K capability) - it's not until quite recently that I started to research potential cameras (ie Sony a7iii) and see myself buying one in the very near future as I can say that I'm now comfortable and 'serious enough' to justify spending big $$$ on this YT journey.

My 2 cents.

I use the iPhone 13 Pro Max and it has been great so far. If you are editing on a Mac it is amazing as you can airdrop your content back and forth if need be within seconds.

This is one of those questions that can never be answered without the right information. First of all, it would be necessary to mention experience, the purpose of the camera itself, or what we intend to photograph through it. No one is likely to say that this model or that one will be suitable.
