Question My views keep changing

Hey Everyone,

I'm a little confused, My Channels views were at 602 but are now 599 and have been stuck at that number for 2 days even though my videos say i've had more views? I am really confused, does this ever happen to anybody else?

Yeah it happened on my recent upload. In youtube studio, it would say that it's 533 views but then when I actually click on the video, it says it's less than that.

Perhaps it's just a glitch then as when I added up my views it totalled to 684 and it says that I have 16 more views until I hit the 700 views mark so I think it should update soon. Hopefully it's the same with your channel, it'll probably update itself in the next few days fingers crossed for us both!

Youtube constantly purges fake and problematic accounts. When they do that it will cause your views to change if any of your views are from those problematic accounts. It is more noticeable when you are a small or new channel, but it is just a part of YouTube life.

It shouldn't. But a lot of new channels get hit by bots. You may have seen some inappropriate or weird comments on your videos. When they remove that bot they would also remove the view that bot generated.

See, I haven't had any strange comments or anything. I'm not sure if I sound silly saying this but is it possible that because when I am on my channel one of my videos begins to play as its on my main channel if that makes sense. It begins to play automatically, is there any chance it could be me viewing my own video that is making the views go up and down? or does You Tube not count that as a view?

I hope that's not the reason as I want genuine viewers who are actually wanting to watch my videos

No, that won't impact view count.

people will stay on your channel based on the contents. If it is good they will be there for you.
