That is a hard question to answer... there are a LOT of variables that go into the performance of a video. But long story short; for whatever reason that video got a better response from an audience than your prior videos. It could be because YouTube got it right and put it in front of an audience that was more apt to enjoy it. More than likely it is because you touched on a much better combination of thumbnail design, subject matter/topic, and/or editing style.

When you get a video like this it is important to study it. See what worked and what didn't; you now need to try and reproduce those results on another video by experimenting with the things that appeared to be right about this one. Keep doing that, you overall channel performance should increase and that is how you grow a channel successfully.

If it is different type of content that maybe the reason why. I am having the same issue. Some videos get more views than others. I think it depends on the content or topics.

What did you change for that particular video? Different type of Thumb, or a more interesting title? Did you find out in the end?

It's usually because you
The algorithm man... I'm still trying to crack that mystery.
The algorithm follows the audience. If people aren't interested in a video that's being suggested, they won't be clicked, and the video stops getting suggested. If a video is doing well it's usually because the topic was interesting, the title and thumbnail was worth clicking, and people actually watched a decent amount of the video.

Good SEO gets your video pushed out in search, giving your video more opportunity to be clicked, but it's up to the viewer whether they click or not. The more clicks you get, the more you get suggested out more. Your thumbnail and topic has to be interesting. They key is knowing what your audience wants from you and knowing what they enjoy.
