Hi all, my name is Vlad,

New to the forum and very happy to be here and have the opportunity to connect with new creators and like minded individuals.

Me and my friend have recently started a YT channel to help others through these difficult times through the power of music, relaxation and meditation,(shout out to all the people getting started on YT in 2020) and I have a real quick question to those in the know ...

For initial growth on a new channel, what are the best daily practices to get more views and ultimately more subscribers when starting from scratch with no following?

Is there a particular social media site to focus on outside of YT to promote our vids on?
Is there certain daily routines which people are having success with on YT to promote growth?
Etc.

Many thanks and wishing everyone a prosperous day.

Hey there welcome to the forums, youΓÇÖve started out in ways that almost no one begins a thread, meaning youΓÇÖve introduced yourself and given us a quick rundown of what your channel is all about, and asked about how to build a channel in all the right ways, I wish more forum members would start like this.

Anyways I found the following that would be a good start:
https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/31452/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/33026/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/31752/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/30598/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/30285/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/33611/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/31625/

https://community.tubebuddy.com/index.php?threads/33493/

Just remember, building a channel is nothing quick, youΓÇÖre in a marathon with the rest of us, but if youΓÇÖre really serious about building your channel, if you exercise patience, which youΓÇÖll need an endless supply of, youΓÇÖll see your channel do great things.

Have fun and always feel free to ask questions

My addition to @DamoΓÇÖs Paintings great list of links is this: discipline and consistency. Treat It like it is a job. Setup a schedule and stick to it. Write consistently, record consistently, etc.

Good luck!

Man congratulations to the beginning of an awesome journey and good luck! I love and appreciate your energy and the direction you are pursuing!

The best daily practices starting off I believe are things centered around being consistent. You want a foundation of consistency for when the audience begins coming in. Pick a day/time for your posts, and this will allow you to pick certain days/times for filming and editing. Do the same with your social media presence. Get yourself into a solid routine so you can have a stress-free production schedule.

I'd say the "best" daily task is to always keep on top of your comments and replying to your comments. And maybe analyse your watch time graph to see which part of your videos people responded to the most, and if there's significant dips, you know to change certain parts of your video formula. Realistically, at the beginning while you're forming a collection of videos, other than the best practices you should be doing when uploadinging regularly (end cards, pinned comments etc) the best thing to be doing on a daily basis is engaging with those who've engaged with you, and analysing video performance, and not just analysing the views. Views mean nothing compared to the watch time, and you can analyse the performance of each video's dips in watch time graph, and use that data to adjust future videos.
