Title of thread: Feedback welcome on this comedy channel!
Self review: Hello name is Sheepy. I upload high quality content videos. Most of which are comedy but thereΓÇÖs some gaming and music too. The art is pleasing enough for the eyes. The content can make you chuckle if youΓÇÖre into that comedy. Just overall positive, welcoming, content!

Hello @SheepDreams,

Before I give you my thoughts let me first say that I'm just giving my opinion based on how I prefer the channels I watch and also based on the things I've learned since I started looking for information on how to grow my channel. It's not to be offensive or insulting, I'm just giving some constructive criticism is any. With that said...

I'll start with the channel art. Your banner is very nice but it's lacking a few details. First, the banner doesn't tell me what your channel is about. I don't know if it's gaming, comedy, vlog, nothing. I would suggest adding some text and/or images that can convey what your channel is about.

Another thing I would suggest is a schedule of some sort. If you create content on a consistent basis you should put it on the banner as well. That tells potential new subs how often you upload.

The last tip on the banner is the social media links. While it's desirable to want ppl to also follow you on Twitter and Facebook you don't want to give them an incentive to leave your YouTube channel by providing them a link to click away. Youtube rewards people who can keep viewers on YouTube. The best way to do the social media call is to put the request on the videos themselves asking ppl to check out your social media channels. That way they are more likely to open a new tab than click away from YouTube altogether.

One other thing I would suggest you look into is your thumbnails. Consistency is key. Some of your thumbnails have text and some don't. Thumbnails should not only be eye-catching but should also convey what the video is about. Some prefer not using text on their thumbnails but they make sure the thumbnails tell a story anyone can read. Remember, thumbnails are your first line of catching a potential subscriber's eye before they even read the title.

This is all I have for now. I hope it can help in any way. Good luck.

Thanks for you feedback! Not sure I follow you on the banner as most banner are for artistic pleasure for viewers. Basically the cover of a book etc. You're right about thumbnail consistency i will try better, to form more thumbnails as a sneak peak for videos. I have a hard time with scheduling but will def try to come up with that! Appreciate it overall! Best of luck to you!

Hello SheepDreams. Interesting channel. It is a little hard to tell exactly what the channel is about from the banner and channel thumbnail. Seems a little psychedelic, which is probably what you are going for. Not sure I equate that with comedy. You might also want to update your channel trailer as it is from 2018. Taking a look at the videos, it appears to be more of a gaming channel vs. comedy. I guess its a mix. The last Roasted series looks interesting, and worth watching. Hope that helps.

I would say your channel banner needs a bit of work as your current banner doesn't give much insight about your channel. HOWEVER, I watched your trailer video and it was good and also funny. Good job.

I'm afraid I agree about the banner art and whilst I get your channel is trying to cover different things that you are interested in it felt a bit disjointed to me..... what sort of channel is it really trying to be? However, as a creator you've got some talent and skills so sure you'll do well in the future.

Hey hey...I'm glad you added the word "comedy" in your description of your channel. I honestly felt like I should be a little blazed while watching to enjoy it just a little more. I watched part of your music video and was just kind of scratching my head. So I picked another video to watch, and it was your story about the casino. LOL Karen up in here "Drunk Chick fight at work". Your animation is awesome. I can only think of how long that takes you to do. I mean with some of the cutouts, you can tell not a lot of time was put into them because of the borders around the flying people, but it fits the video. It made me laugh. I don't know if I agree with everyone above talking about your channel art, only because your channel name fits the hallucinogenic type style you got going on.

Hi Sheepy,

I tend to agree with the previous posts regarding the Banner and thumbnails and after watch a number of your posts, it is a little confusing if its a comedy or gaming channel? The channel seems to be going in all sorts of directions rather then having a core vibe. That maybe your intention but some consistancy i believe would help viewers to connect better - my opinion anyway.

As a UK based stand up comedian (well in limbo while covid19 passes) I love the freshness of your approach and found the Trump v Hilary very entertaining and liked parts of the Drunk chicks post. Not necessary my core comedy zone but Its your style and that is good.

So you are the first ewe-tuber i have found so good luck and dont be too sheepish about your comedy.

I was drawn in by you saying it's a 'comedy' channel

I was hoping for - to the camera stuff

I didn't consider banner art and the like, just three or four of the videos that I thought might represent what I wanted to see.

TBH as I was hoping to see/learn how to the camera comedy was done 'properly' - that is script/editing/sound/etc

So on the one hand I was disappointed that it's all off screen / voice over [sometimes computer generated VO] - so for me that's a negative [but just for me]

In regards to the actual content - it seems edited and created very well. I wasn't keen on the computer games videos. But the ones like YouTube Crash. Just on the editing/ideas alone - you have strong content. So although not what I was hoping for - I can see it is very professional looking... and as always when someone does something much better than I could... I am ever so impressed.

So I am ever so impressed.

So I like your banner. I think itΓÇÖs cool. The main graphic could be bigger as itΓÇÖs hard to read from my phone, but that could be cause IΓÇÖm old.

I liked a lot of the thumbnails. I preferred the ones with words written to help me understand what it was about.I also really like your titles. Some of them jumped out like Drunk Chick Fight.

I will agree IΓÇÖm not a huge fan of all off camera dialogue, but it was fine. There were some really funny lines, but there were also times where I felt like I was waiting for something that didnΓÇÖt come. But thatΓÇÖs how comedy is, not everyone gets every joke.
