I have a question in regards to skipping ads.

If I skip an ad on YouTube, would it affect the earnings?

If you skip an advert then the creator does not get paid as the advertiser doesn't pay for skipped Ads. Hope this helps!!

This is correct, but banner ads show up, and they get for that. However the most money a creator can earn is if you click that ad haha, but don't abuse this because that counts as invalid click activity.
