From the looks of it, the Nvidia Shield can only stream PC games not actually have it in its library. I don't know if it saves Android games or it streams it as well, but you need to have a good connection and a good PC to play any games with the Nvidia Shield. It's kinda like the Steam Link but with Netflix.
So yeah, I think the Nvidia Shield is more of a streaming media player than an actual console. Btw, gotta say... $199 for 16gb? Pfft! And then $299 for 500gb? What the hell? xD
I think you should save up for a PS4. If you're in a place where Black Friday exists (a la the USA), you should wait 'till November to check out the prices for it.
