Answered Need help tubebuddy pro tagging

Hello everyone!
I'm new with using tubebuddy pro version and really haven't got a clue lol I'm wanting to use it mainly to do my tags and thumbnail as I'm about to go monetise my videos properly. Long long time ago I was in here with free tubebuddy version now up graded as I've got over 500,000
Followers over 4 platforms i use.
Really need help to get the most out of my content and channel.
Any help much appreciated thanks

I did that but I'm not sure if I've done it properly or not still learning it. This is what I come up with

I'm afraid you need to play around and see which one works best for you. Try creating a constructive title and put that title inclusive of your target keywords in your tags section and description and try optimizing it. YouTube is all about trial and error so you need to play around things and see which tags or topics will work best for you.

That would be awesome mate i got a Snooker & 8ball channel I'm a certified Snooker and 8ball coach got over 500,000 Followers and I'm about to finally do monetising my videos. Trying to find best tags to use and Trying to get thumbnails to show when looking at them before they click it. Sometimes works sometimes don't lol

With the TubeBuddy plugin you can check the tags with the Keyword Explorer that you want to use.
Mayby it help if you use tags that have:
- Great search volume
- Weighted competition
- Optimization Strength

The trick is to use tags that are unique and therefore stand out above other tags in terms of what people use to look up videos. By doing so, you capitalize on your viewers' searches. For a while now, YouTube has also had an “Trending” tab in Analytics. This allows you to find popular search terms and possibly you can then use those in turn to attract more viewers.

Also with TubeBuddy you can create muliple thumbnails with different looks and then you can used the thumbnails with the A/B Tests.
With A/B Tests, you use the tool to see which thumbnail stands out the most and thus attracts viewers to watch your video. The better the CTR score, the more attractive the thumbnail is.

I hope this helps you to have more viewers. It also depends on what kind of license you have from TubeBuddy since some features are not included with a particular license.

If I may give you one more tip try to use “How to ....” or “8 ball tips and tricks” or something similar with the tags. That also helps a lot since those similar search terms are used.

I use 8BallPoolTipsAndTricks in my tags how do I pick other ones to add with it?
Is 8BallPoolTipsAndTricks what title you would use?
I have TubeBuddy Pro to btw not sure if that's any good to find right tags?

Make sure your videos are easy to find with the right title. And make them distinguishable from each other.

How do you save tags to video through tags Explorer it says add to current video i click action button didn't work so I put in manually.
Also i didn't realise once put in Keyword only had to click tags to get list of other tags up lol i was so close

You need to look in the windows Keyword Explorer of the TubeBuddy extention. The green circle with the x-mark is only for you. (see the text under the tags and help article: Tag rankings

Another thing ive noticed i cant get thumbnail right on shorts when in 9:16 never shows the thumbnail once ive loaded it?
it shows half way through it as thumbnail? got me puzzled why as in filmora app i use i always try use the thumbnail at start of it that it says to pick thumbnail by dragging it? But dont work

The thumbnails on the YT Shorts can you only change on your mobile with the YouTube app (not YouTube Studio.)

You can use the same tags, that's no problem. I only use a few tags for each video(dutchkarting, dutchkarting videos, karting) but the other tags it differs what appears in the video.

This may have to do with size. On the phones it is 9:16 (portrait) and on regular monitors (TV, monitors and laptop, etc.) it is 16:9 (landscape). It is possible that the narrow thumbnails are displayed as landscape as it is seen on my monitor of my computer.

As for the tags, it is difficult to get the highest score on all parts. But I see that the overall score is 96% which is more than enough. As long as 2 out of 3 are at “Good” or more and your overall score is high, then it's fine in my opinion. Some tags actually deliver low scores even though they are widely used in search.

I'm using the TubeBuddy pro does that show rankings? The green tags as i don't get any in green tags to be able to tell?
Had bar graphs come up beside them when clicked on tags to get list to come up after typing in keyword search

So far I know you can only change the 9:16 thumbnails in the YT app.
The 16:9 thumbnails are the only ones that you can edit in the YT app or the website.

Someone told me can only get it to show thumbnail 9:16 if copy the link and post it and it will only show thumbnail in middle of wide screen
As Facebook must post separately straight on there can't share from YouTube to work.
