YouTube Help How can I add videos to my playlists without using the dropdown menu?

Hello. I usually add YT videos to my personal playlists by pressing the 3-dot button in the video, then selecting "save to playlist", then selecting one of the playlists shown in the dropdown menu. These videos are not mine but videos created by other YT creators.

However, I have this problem. I have 250+ playlists. The dropdown menu does not display the playlist I want to add to.

I know the playlist exists because if I go to my www.youtube.com/feed/you page, it shows all my playlists and I can see it and I can view the videos in the playlist. But this playlist is not shown in the dropdown menu because I haven't added a video to it for over 6 months now.

Is there a way I can add a video (not my own video but another person's video) to a playlist in a way without using the "3-dot/save to playlist" manner? Is there anyway I can add a YT video from the www.youtube.com/feed/you page? I don't understand how YT can drop a personal playlist from the "3-dot/save to playlist" dropdown menu and never allow you to bring that playlist back into the dropdown menu.

dead easy, just go to your content page and select all the videos you want in the playlist, you can use the filter to help find these if you want. Now with all the videos selected you will see a banner appear 3 choices "Edit, Add to Playlist, More options', select Add to playlist, you can chose multiple playlists if required.

I've encountered a similar issue with a large number of playlists. A workaround is to manually navigate to 'www.youtube.com/feed/you' and add the video to the desired playlist from there. It seems the dropdown menu has limitations based on recent activity. Hope this helps!

Are you using mobile or desktop/laptop? I recommend try to explore the playlist in PC/desktop because mobile or portable device experience is normally limited. It could be the reason.
