YouTube Question Monetization

Hi

My channel has both long format videos and shorts. For monetization purposes, does YouTube consider the watch hours on shorts or are shorts ignored?
Is there anything else I need to consider for shorts, that many people are not aware of?

short and long have different goals to achieve before monetization. Apart from getting 1000 subscribers, either you can reach 4000 watch hours in long vids with in a year, or 10 million short views within 90 days. short and long targets cannot be combined.
