YouTube Opinion Submitting complaint to YouTube about a Community Page post on another channel

Note: I don't wish to reveal channel information at this point, for my own safety - sorry.

Background
My channel educates and fights an online social bullying trend here in the UK. I am up against some very nasty people.

One of those people has added a post to his Community Page that reveals my personal identifying information and, I believe, puts me at risk.

I used the report button on the offending post and the offending channel to submit privacy and harassment reports to YouTube. I received an e-mail acknowledgement from YouTube but no further response and the reports are not listed in the Reports History page on the corresponding Google account.

It has now been seven days, so today I decided to submit a privacy complaint using Google online Privacy Complaint Process (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/142797?sjid=7322811404252903056-EU). The problem is that this is designed for videos only, with no option to select Community Page posts, so I have to fill the form out creatively, making it abundantly clear in the narrative description of the complaint that it is for a post, not a video.

I then received a e-mail response from YouTube asking for details of the video! I replied, explaining that at this stage, there is no video to complain of.

YouTube replied with a link to the Privacy Complaint Process I had already completed (link above).

I replied explaining that they are asking me to repeat what I have already done and the privacy complaint process online contains no option for non-video content. YouTube aren't listening and insist I follow the link.

Question
Is my only option to write formally to the YouTube/Google head office in California?

I'm truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation you're facing on YouTube, trying to combat online bullying is a commendable effort, and it's crucial that you protect your personal information. It seems like you've already taken some significant steps in addressing the issue, but YouTube's response has been less than ideal. While it can be frustrating, there are still some avenues you can explore.

One alternative you can consider is reaching out to YouTube's Support Team via Twitter or other social media platforms. Sometimes, they are more responsive on these channels, and you can publicly voice your concerns, which might prompt a quicker resolution. Additionally, you can try escalating your issue by contacting Google's support team directly. They can guide you on the best course of action or may have more tools at their disposal to help you with your unique situation. While writing to the YouTube/Google head office in California might be a last resort, it can be effective if you exhaust all other options. Ensure your letter is clear and concise, outlining the problem, your efforts so far, and the urgency due to your safety concerns. Remember to maintain a professional tone throughout your communication. I hope you find a resolution soon and can continue your vital work in combating online bullying. Stay safe!
