YouTube Question Why do you only get notified of new subscribers sometimes ?

Just wondering why you sometimes get notified off YouTube that you have a new subscriber but then other times you don't ?

You only get notified if a subscriber openly shares who they subscribe to. Most subscribers keep who they subscribe to private which is why subscriber notifications are infrequent.
