What do immediately your video goes viral.

If your video goes viral and your content is good Youtube shows it to more people, if users click and watch the video for at least few minutes. If people click on your video and leave within few seconds that means either the video is irrelevant to user or they didn't get what they expect. In such case Youtube starts to show it less and eventually the number will drop.
Definitely agree with this. You want to maximize traffic driven to your channel. I'd also say to make sure that whatever you go viral in is something that you wouldn't mind your channel spending a good bit of time on. I've heard often that people will go viral in one niche/topic, but never return to the niche/topic that they went viral in, giving them empty subscribers. The people that subscribe to you due to a viral video will want more of that content from your channel. Don't underestimate the lack of interest that people will have in your other content; it's a sad truth, honestly.

When you get one that really works like that you need to take a step back and study that video. What was so special about it? Why did it work so well? Study your retention graph, thumbnail etc. A viral video is a unique opportunity for you to get a glimpse into exactly the information you need for success. Then you are going to want to reproduce that success with a follow-up. This might not happen; sometimes a viral hit is simply lightning in a bottle and it can't be easily reproduced. Sometimes you misidentify the things that went into it going viral like the timing or trend of the topic. But keep trying; for the next few months you should focus on reproducing the events that conspired to make that video explode.
That is exactly what viral is in my mind, actually- the example you gave. IΓÇÖm not sure what percentage in view increase in proportion to your normal amount, however, I would consider a video that is, I guess, 10x your normal amount of views to be viral. However, I guess that number would decrease as your normal amount of views go up.
For me, I have one video I consider ΓÇ£viralΓÇ¥ on my channel. It is around 5k views when the majority of my videos are all 200-300 views. I donΓÇÖt have a single video over 450 views other than this ΓÇ£viralΓÇ¥ one. ThatΓÇÖs over 10x my normal amount, even 15x. I havenΓÇÖt capitalized on it yet, but itΓÇÖs in the making. So this thread is quite helpful to me.
