YouTube Question Channel not showing up in searches and on other websites

I created a new channel a few days ago. I have more than one channel attached to my account. I did not rename one of my other channels or anyhthing, I started a whole new one and when I tested it by going to the YouTube search the channel name does not come up and I even filter it by channel name and I get other channel names instead.

There is NO content yet on the channel. Might that have something to do with it?

The channel name is one that was suggested by another member here on this board called 'Day Stream Believer' https://www.youtube.com/@daystreambeliever When I put the channel name into the search and then I use the filter to show just channel names it will NOT come up. I went back into the settings and made sure it shows up as a location of United States. Other than that, is there anything else I should be doing to trigger my channel to start showing up in searches?

I am also trying to whitelist a website I get music from with my channel and instead of just letting me provide my channel URL I have to type my channel name and then select it from the list, BUT, since it is not coming up in searches by name I am unable to accomplish that .....

Ideas?

Thanks,

I think with handles, etc, there isn't enough data to say a definite yes or no, but if it's any consolation my channel didn't come up in search results either until I had videos on it.

OK, well, I guess what I can do is make a trailer video or something and see what happens then. I am trying to whitelist my channel on a music service for licensing purposes and they don't just let me put my channel ID. I have type my channel name and at the moment it is not showing up! (Ahrgggg!)

Yeah channel recommendations in the YouTube Search are sorely lacking. You really need to have a decent library before you can rank for your own name. The channel itself must compete with other videos for the ownership of their own name in search, so if you name your channel 'Fortnight' or 'Minecraft' good luck ever being seen.

You will end up ranking and your channel will pop up in search but you will need to 1) target your own name using SEO in your videos/channel tags and 2) produce enough videos to actually rank for your name.

Yes. What is so frustrating is like for TubeBuddy, you copy your channel URL or Channel ID and paste it into your account. But, with this service they don't let you do that! You have to type your channel name ....All I am trying to do is whitelist their site so when I download and use their music in my videos I don't get a copyright strike.
