YouTube Help SHORTS

I've asked this one other time on this forum but haven't gotten an answer. Can someone please show me screen captures of how you post a short through the YouTube app? For the life of me, I can't figure this thing out. I create a nice short in Canva, download it to my phone, and then all I can do is record a short. That's not what I want to do. What am I missing with this?

HI, When you want to post a short ,
- Open the youtube app
-Create short
- At the top Right , Pick length you want ( 15 seconds or 60 seconds)
-At the left bottom , click on the square pic
- Select your video and click next
- Type your title/Caption and Post , Try adding #shorts as well

I'm sorry, this just isn't working. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I need someone to show me the steps. There's something I'm doing wrong.

you may be able to upload it as a normal video and set it to private then just hit the remix button as a quick fix for now

Can you upload regular videos? Well...it's the same process, just put a hashtag #shorts somewhere in the title or desc. But I've not used any hashtags for some shorts and they still are posted as shorts.

- Update your app
- Or post it as a normal video but make sure it is less than 60 seconds , add #shorts for optimal result
