I think it can vary depending on audience and type of video. Almost all of mine have intros but they are all live streams. I do have a few that were spur of the moment pop up lives that had no intro as well. but for majority it inros for me. Reason being is i feel with the short 30 second countdown maybe 10 and a 15 to 30 second intro it allows my audience a few seconds to get into chat and start saying the hellos and reading description of the live show and / or topic. hope that makes sense.:)

I don't know that I would count a countdown as an intro... livestreams are inherently a different beast than VODs. An intro is more of a channel introduction placed at the beginning of every video. They are intended to provide the viewer with the creators background so that they don't need to explain who they are etc throughout the video, but they are often used as simple, time-consuming blocks with little more than a logo as a selling point that their channel is more professional than it really is.

I will say though you provide some interesting points here!

Firstly thank you for the compliment! Appreciated very much. I do agree 100% on what you are saying with VOD intros as I have seen many of what your speaking about and it for me usually initiates the ff or 10 second skip 1 or more times. Trying too hard to impress can definitely be detrimental to a creator. Cheers
