Need Advice Video and Channel location metrics, How important are they?

OK, so if my target audience is in another region of the world should I leave all my "Geolocation" settings as my own location or can it improve my audience by setting to my target location. Specifically: Upload location (Using a VPN), tagging, Location of video, Youtube account location, etc???? I live in a low population part of the world, and I am getting local view when I need view in another region. Or, is it just me? Talking about a second channel, not the below one, thanks!
