One thing I do daily is check which of my videos have been placed under "restricted mode." Right now, 70% of my content is in restricted mode. This is not the same thing as mature audiences and restricted mode videos are still monetized. Something happened in 2018 that made these videos even less available in discovery mode. YouTube has a restricted mode so companies or parents can restrict views from customers or children. For example, if a video has a lot of swearing then it is possible people in a government building, library, school, or even a hospital might not want to hear it so YouTube allows them to enable restricted mode. My videos, every single one of them, go into restricted mode almost immediately no matter what is in the content. This is annoyingly decided by YouTube. Most of them I do not swear in nor do I put graphic violence but I guess they assume all horror videos are the same. In fact, most of our genre is like this so others have the same problem. Right now to fix the problem, I have to go through my videos daily and make a check off list of which ones are in restricted mode then send the list to google where it takes weeks for them to decide whether or not the video should be placed in restricted mode. This takes forever and sometimes I forget to do it. Also, YouTube does not contact me and tell me if the video has been unflagged which is equally annoying. It used to be kind of easy to see which videos were in restricted mode, but YouTube changed this. We could see a list of videos on a playlist and it would say "this video may not be appropriate" then quickly skip to the next allowed video on the list. Now it just says x amount of y videos are available. So frustrating!
A quick list of videos that are restricted or not with a link to the form to fill out to fix the problem would save many people an enormous amount of time and make YouTube realize there are more videos than should be in restricted mode. A lot of people don't even realize this exists.
