So, I've had 19 subscribers for a while now and I am just not managing to reach a new audience. Only 10% of my views come from people who are not subscribed to the channel, so I'm not reaching anyone new. As a small channel, how can I get noticed? I have tried asking for people to do collaborations with me, and due to my tiny sub count I get ignored, what can I do? Any help is massively appreciated.

Everyone starts as a small channel with zero subscribers. For most people who have no prior online presence, putting out SEO-friendly titles and descriptions with good thumbnails is what gets initial traffic. Sometimes it can be a very hot topic or a virulent video that gets the initial draw. There is also the word-of-mouth factor or if you have relationships (personal or online) where people become interested in what you are doing.

I noticed you have a gaming channel. It is a very tough place to be. Your titles are not SEO-friendly nor are your thumbnails click-friendly. Also, it just seems you are putting up random gaming videos. You should go back and revisit at all your titles, descriptions, and thumbnails to make the more enticing/interesting.

People love gaming but from a YT perspective, I personally think it is one of the worst genres to get into due to the competition and saturation.

This is amazing feedback, thank you. I honestly don't understand the SEO thing, would you please explain that to me or give me a few examples of what I'm doing wrong?

I agree that there are a lot of gamers out there, a lot of them however are men, especially the bigger channels that I am aware of, and that's kind of where I was hoping to slot in, being female, I thought there may be an opportunity to try something new there.

Do a search on "SEO" here on the TB forums. There are a lot of threads of discussions regarding this. The TB browser add-on is a tool to use to help. SEO is essentially figuring out what people search for on Google and on YT and you have content that caters to these searches. The text in the title and description area is the most important.

If you are a female gamer, yes, that makes you stand out more. But there is no outward indication you are playing that factor. I see a female red-head cartoon in your channel art but is that meant to be you? It is not obvious to me. Being a female gamer is something to help grow a niche on.

I am an occasional PC gamer myself but almost entirely removed from YT channels catering to the gaming genre. There are other forum participants who will be able to give you better insights as to what a gamer channel might need to have.

This is amazing advice thank you so much. I do show my face cam on some videos however I have a young daughter and she messes up my flat hence my camera not always being on. IΓÇÖll add my little cartoon logo to my thumbnails though thatΓÇÖs really good advice, thank you. Like genuinely

Lots of the stuff Matt is saying really is true. Your thumbnails aren't very clickable, I can't tell what the game is or what the video is about. I think your titles are fine, but they don't give enough information.

im working on my thumbnails moving forward, so thank you all so much for that, as for my titles, I will try to make them more descriptive, and will make better use of the description box and tags too

Make some videos under 10 minutes initially to attract viewers with titles that Keyword Explorer gives high numbers for and thumbnails that would interest someone to click on.

I'm pretty much in a similar situation, but that's only because I'm not doing anything about it...

Anyway, like the person above me, try uploading some short things. I started off with longer videos, but they're not easily watchable compared to a short clip you could look at for thousands of times.
