Love the Cuban YO YO Been using those since I was seven and lived by a fishing harbor in Key West. There was a very old Cuban man that lived on an old wooden diesel boat in the harbor. I used to fish around the boats in the harbor with my Zebco 33 and made friends with him. I would give him the fish I caught and he would cook them and we would eat together on his boat. He took me out to sea a few times on his boat and taught me how to hand line with Cuban Yo Yo hand line like the one in your video. I have used one ever since. I did not learn until later who the old man was I was fishing with. He was actually the real-life inspiration for Ernest Hemingway's book, The Old Man and the Sea. In his younger days, the man had worked for Hemingway as a chef on his yacht, and had told him the story of the time he snagged a whale shark that dragged his boat for days. I knew the story was true because the old man got a royalty check each month from the sales of the book.
