Answered Channel keywords

How do you choose the best keywords for your channel?
For example I see channels with thousands of subscribers. 1000's of views and they have 4 channel keywords.

When I search those keywords in keyword search tool they all bring back poor results. They don't appear optimized for the channel. Like poor. Competition is way to high. Etc..
