My Biggest Question

I have almost 350 videos and at least 100 of these have a huge value but are yet to be discovered, (that's my perspective) and are only around 1 year old. Although having almost 10k subs and averaging around 400 views on a new release within the first 24 hours, many of the older valuable videos are now getting little traffic and are almost buried away.
QUESTION...Should I go back through my videos that are not performing and....
1. retitle re optimise the description
2. Just leave them and redo a new version
3. Link to them, post updates on my YT comments and post along with other social media links and hope they get a new boost of life
4. Other, I've just missed it altogether!

I'll answer your questions... but I have some additional insight that may give you some peace of mind.

QUESTION...Should I go back through my videos that are not performing and....
1. retitle re optimise the description: Yes... it never hurts to try and kickstart an underperforming video. In fact this should be a common practice.
2. Just leave them and redo a new version: Yes... I mean yeah try to reoptimize but also yes you should do a redo... I'll explain in a moment.
3. Link to them, post updates on my YT comments and post along with other social media links and hope they get a new boost of life: Yes! Yes! Yes! Just because they are 'underviewed" does not mean they don't provide value.
4. Other, I've just missed it altogether! : Yes! You NEVER know when a video is going to pop. I have literally seen a video go viral five years after publish. In fact you can think about it this way... you may have already published a video which is going to garner 10 million views. It just hasn't happened yet.

4. Other, I've just missed it altogether! Yes! Something you have to consider is that you have no idea when a video is going to pop. I have literally seen videos go viral five years after being published. Think about it this way; it is entirely possible that you have already published a 10 million view video that just hasn't happened yet.

Ok, so yes it is a common practice to re-optimize your underperforming content. There is nothing wrong with that and it is not going to hurt anything at all. But another thing to consider; part of what you are doing by being consistent is building authority in the subject that acts as an umbrella topic for all these videos. The more videos you make about a subject the more authority you gain. So while I encourage re-optimization I would also encourage you to recreate your core videos from time to time. Doing so offers: 1. More content opportunities, 2. Additional Authority in your Niche, 3. A fresh, new style/approach etc for new viewers and for YouTube's indexing purposes.
