Also... anyone who wants to 'grow their channel' should definitely be watching every single video put out by Nick Nimmin, Daniel Batal, Brian G Johnson TV, Roberto Blake, Darrel Eves, Shelly Saves the Day, Trina Little, Sunny Lenarduzzi, Annie Dube and Salma Jafri.
I have generally refrained from listing different people I follow but since you opened that door....
Different people are drawn to different YT role models for different reasons. Some resonate more than others. Everyone gets to choose their own YT role models.
Having said all that, Derral Eves and some of his star students have been a big influence on me. I recommend his book "YouTube Formula". I've enjoyed Roberto Blake. I also pay attention to Ali Abdaal and his style who is based in the UK. I follow Graham Stephan.

Gary Vee always seems to have a videographer with him. And I think he has a team doing all his posting, editing, uploading, writing titles, etc.
Of course, his content is certainly enjoyable, entertaining, and insightful but I feel I am too new in my YT career to relate to his style and approach.

He can be a hard pill to swallow... and he is definitely all about himself. Just seemed like the natural progression of this conversation lol
My YouTube roll models are Jacques Cousteau, Bill Mason, Mr. Rodgers and Bob Ross. Every one of these guys was doing YouTube before YouTube was invented.
