Thumbnail Feedback Two Options and Don't know where to go from there.

I've got an upcoming video and just done the thumbnails for it and stuck between these two different types of backgrounds.
I've used the purple and blue before and I think it's okay but just after some feedback if anything can be improved etc.

Personally, I would want to see a better closeup of the plate of food. The text to me looks outdated design-wise with the drop shadow and all. Just being honest as it is "my" opinion. Also you can A/B test each one and see how that goes. Maybe your followers will make the choice for you in the numbers.
