What tips can you give to gain more subscribers?

The biggest thing is just focus on making high quality content which your happy with along with making sure you have a good thumbnail, SEO etc. One of the best things is to use the Tubebuddy plugin as that has a guide which points you towards good standards.
Also I'd say there is heaps of tutorials and advice on here and YouTube.

This is very true. The best thing you can do is put in the research. Watch a lot of Nick Nimmin and Roberto Blake videos. Learn the things you can do to improve your videos to make them more appetizing for viewers so that they watch longer. Learn the tactics for making great thumbnails. And read. As SILTHW said going through and reading what others have written here rather than trying to ask a question that has been asked many times would serve you far better.
