I'm curious, what memory card do you use for your GoPro 9? (if you have one) and does it consistently crash and require a format to work again?

When I purchased my GoPro 9 I also purchased a SanDisk Ultra 128GB memory card and after a few hours of photos and it would require a format to work again. I realised this card wasn't supported so I purchased the SanDisk Extreme 128GB which is supported according to this list (3rd down from top of list) and I am still experiencing the same problem.

I have done a long format of the memory card, GoPro format and factory reset and I still get the same problems.
I also notice on the above list there is also a Extreme Plus 128GB and Extreme Pro 128GB. I'm wondering why these are there if the standard Extreme 128GB is meant to work. I'm wondering do these work better with 4K and therefore less likely to crash?

Has anyone else had a nightmare with memory cards with GoPro 9 and if so did you manage to find a solution?

Short answer - transfer (read/write) speeds. Certain cards are better at sustained transfer. Also note, the behavior of the card may differ based on quality. So you may have no issues with 1080p/30 but may have issues at 4k/30.

Outside of Blackmagic Design's recommendations for their own stuff, I have found most manufacturers information to be a little suss and tend to look for third party reviews on which card to use.

Thanks for replying, I'll be honest I'm new to the memory card world and don't have a decent understanding of it just yet.
Based on your knowledge do you feel this would be suitable? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8875275

Don't worry, I won't hold you accountable for it lol
