YouTube Question How do I know why some of my video explodes?

Some of my videos explode and I just can't find any clues

E.g. I have a video which has only retention rate for less than 30%, but (1) many people comments, (2) total watch time is very long as the video itself is 20 mins, with 25% retention rate is around 5 mins per head, (3) many likes.

Which turns out Youtube suggest my video.

So total watch time more important? Retention Rate more important? Or comment amount more important?

Anyone could help?

well for your video blow up come down if you are monetize! Youtube is business it only going to promote video that is making money for them!
