Answered Head keyword for channel or video

Hi tubebuddies. I've seen a lot of videos with Andrew Kan. But I'm not sure when using keyword explorer, should the target head keyword be the main theme of the channel, or the topic of the specific video?

It is important for the majority of your videos to follow the theme of your channel. You are welcome to do one-off's though (I personally allow about 5% of my videos to be about whatever I want to film a video about; this helps me to keep the creative juices flowing). The main keyword will receive a little bit of a boost if it is connected to the channel's theme, but the most important thing is that it meets the topic of the specific video.
