im after a usb-c mic ( shotgun style) that can plug into the bottom of my android phone, the smaller the better, does anyone have any recommendations?
Yea fair enough, im looking for something like the Boya BY-DM100Almost any USB mic with a removable cable can use a USB-C cable and work with phones. Bigger brands are more tested - so Shure and RODE tend to work better, but there are lots of off-brands that work fine.
I don't have personal experience with that one, but many people here use it with their phones, so my guess is that it will work fine.Yea fair enough, im looking for something like the Boya BY-DM100
My other option is to go with a lav mic, but still unsureI don't have personal experience with that one, but many people here use it with their phones, so my guess is that it will work fine.
Actually, they work quite well. I have used a lav setup with phone in the past. I think a shotgun gives you more flexibility, but in a noisy environment a lav is a good option. My other option is to go with a lav mic, but still unsure
That's true. I have an OSMO 4 I use. The only warning I'd give is that the cable connecting to the mic needs to be long enough for the gimbal to move freely, but not too long as to weigh down the phone. Careful of really stiff cables. You may need to add counterweights to make it stable. The problem i have, is ill be using a dji osmo 3, and the cable can get in the way, thats what i was trying to avoid
Yea, i found that out recently, hence going to a mini shotgun mic, but time will tellThat's true. I have an OSMO 4 I use.
