YouTube Question custom thumbnails

hi a few quick questions: how many youtube channels can I create and how many youtube channels can I have with custom thumbnails?

Some time ago I read that you are allowed to have custom thumbnails in only 2 channels but is this true? I cant find any info on this..could someone share a link where youtube explains this?

No, it isn't true. And please, don't ask the same question in multiple places.

I think the only requirement is to confirm your account with a phone number. I only know this because I had to do it yesterday with a new channel.
