About Temple:
Konnaiyur Muthumariamman temple is located in Ponnamaravathi, Pudukkottai district near Koppanapatti distance of 35km from Pudukkottai. Long ago, this place had many Kondrai trees so called as 'Konraiyur' and now as 'Konnaiyur'. Nelli tree is the temple tree (thala virutcham). In this Pucherithal festival conducted by village people on every tamil month of Panguni. At this time, people are in fasting to celebrate this festival.
