I love German sausages, but would not turn down schnitzel or sauerbraten (I make a pretty fair schnitzel). I hear people bad mouth German food... and never understood it!
I answered, "What is German food". Mainly because I don't understand the question. Like Tito Tim, I also enjoy a good schnitzel. But what does all of this have to do with cake? I can't off the top of my head, think of any German cakes.

Usually near military bases but lots of towns have a mom/pop german restaurants. I can never pronounce the food or remember the names but I really love it

IΓÇÖm not educated enough to remember the names of the cakes but there are a ton of traditional german cakes/pastries that always seem to be at the places I go to. If you really like desserts , an old school german restaurant is a win
