Well, YouTube is simultaneously both harder than you think and easy at the same time. It has taken me a full calendar year (and a few thousand dollars) to get my YouTube studio setup, acquire equipment/cameras, learn video editing, publish my first 8 videos, etc..
I'm hoping I'll start to get into a bit more of an established rhythm now in my second year and get content out more frequently with quicker turn around! Cheers to 2021 so far!
