Well, I use the keyword explorer tool to word my title and see how it scores. I try multiple diff titles as they will also be in my tags, so I see which one has the highest score and use that.
I have to admit, titles are my weakness as well, but the SEO Studio is very helpful.
To be honest, a lot of what I learned was actually from watching @Andrew doing channel reviews over the years through TubeBuddy livestreams and his own channel in the past. I find half of it is knowing how to use the tools, but the other half is having the right mindset to begin with, and I find watching livestreams helps me get into the right mindset. You don't even have to get a review of your channel, you can watch replays where he goes through other people's channels and I've learned a whole range of approaches to title strategies through watching replays. And of course there's Feedback Friday.
Then there's the consideration of weather to go with a more search friendly approach (which I find to be more evergreen) for example "how to do (insert random topic)" and weather to go with "compelling" such as "you'll never guess how I did (insert random topic)"
So there's a lot of neuances I've found.
SEO Studio and watching past replays are your best option to learn approaches. Learning and studying from others is amazing, it takes a bit of time and just like all art forms, you will always be evolving and getting better over time.
