Title of thread: Need help with SEO choices as not getting any impressions
Self review: I put this video out yesterday and I got positive feedback from the people who watched. But IΓÇÖm not getting any impressions from Youtube. I have tags that rank and some that are more generic. The video is funny

I think even if we have the right SEO, it's just so competitive now therefore we end up sinking to the bottom of the search list. I also read that average view duration also plays a factor. I'm still new but I feel your pain.

Yes. I heard that the amount of time watching is an influence for YouTube, which is a bummer as we make shorter videos. Thanks for the reply

ItΓÇÖs not always about the tags, you need an enticing thumbnail , you may rank but people arenΓÇÖt clicking make yourself stand out , I have problems with this as well

True, but you need impressions first. My CTR rates are pretty good on most of my videos. I think the CTR on this video is around 15% on YouTube searches and suggestions. Problem is that there are so few impressions

That would show to me not that many people are searching for the targeted specific keyword. Looking here both terms you're ranking for have low search, so if I were doing this video I would have done keyword research and looked at those metrics when it came to it.

I don't think it's bad, but I don't think the targeted keyword, which is the searchable phrase first "Slay at home dad" is searched enough. Looking at TB we gave it a poor score. I'd say this came down to this video is doing as well as it can for this term, but that's about it.
