YouTube Help Doubt about watch time

Hello everyone!

Guys, I have a question regarding Watch Time. For Yotube, what is more important the time someone watches your video or the total percentage?

For example:

5 minute video: 29% watch time - Duration: 1:29

or

3-minute video: 50% Wach time - Duration: 1:30

What is the best ? Or is it the same thing?

I think that it will depend on how you interpret it. If viewers watch 50% of the video, that's a great indication.
