Welcome to the January FORUM patch notes! It’s a New year, and that means a new us! Yeet, Pray, dab! Not really yeeting, or praying… or dabbing…?, ALTHOUGH we do have some exciting news!
- WeΓÇÖve officially closed down our TubeBuddy Support forums and have replaced them with TubeBuddy Questions. The reason for this is because weΓÇÖve felt the support forums have been a sub-par experience. A lot of users come here with a TB issues, only to be redirected to support@tubebuddy.com. So we decided to cut the middleman and direct you straight to support.

- WeΓÇÖve replaced the join Discord forum widget with an official chat box from our Discord server. This makes it easier for forum members to connect with our Discord! WeΓÇÖve also added the ability to sign up for the forums using Discord, so both of these options are now here to help bridge the gap between the two.
- WeΓÇÖve added a new requirement to post in the promotion section. Historically, the only requirement was the forum badge. However, we have over 20,000 members and most post exclusively in the promotion area. That is not the intended purpose of these forums. ItΓÇÖs a chance to meet other members and connect. Not a place to promote yourself quickly, and leave. Due to this, we are adding a new limitation to encourage discussions elsewhere. YouΓÇÖll need 20 posts AND the forum badge to unlock the promotion section. Although, you donΓÇÖt need any posts to post on YouTube Feedback, only review another thread. You can read more HERE.
- We are doing a re-haul of what it means to be a member of the month. We want this to be a real achievement, and give more benefits to being active in our community! WeΓÇÖre going to do a graphic overall for member of the month official post, give new members of the month a three month upgrade from their current license, and feature them in our social media. If you want to learn more about member of the month check out last monthΓÇÖs member HERE. If you were a past member of the month, you are eligible for two more months, to be kept up to date with new members.
- WeΓÇÖve also moved Gear Discussions to the YouTube board. This discussion section is doing well, and we believe gear is an important part of the YouTube process, so weΓÇÖve switched the positioning of Gear Discussion & Media Marketplace.
- Finally, you now need the forum badge to reply to News & Announcement posts. This is because we would get a lot of spam bots, and they would flood the replies with spam, so this is a move to help eliminate the spam bots.
