I've been considering saving up for an external recorder. This one looks good, but I'm not sold on 4k really. It's really the ProRes 422 codec I'm interested in. Any of you ever use one of these external recorders.

I've been considering saving up for an external recorder. This one looks good, but I'm not sold on 4k really. It's really the ProRes 422 codec I'm interested in. Any of you ever use one of these external recorders.

For me I like 4K for future proofing, and knowing YT Favors it over other content in the current situation. Similar to how they preferred FHD over HD. I think they are both great, but have more familiarity personally with Atomos!
