I've never used a blue yeti but they seem pretty comparable. Linus Tech did a video on it and that's what sold me. plus I'm also a razer fanboy so there could be a little bias.

I don't really know the genre but it's kind of a laid back, techno, funk. I listened to a good number on them through the site my network lets us use and thought it fit best with my style.

I generally use my macbook for editing and such, but I go PC for gaming. better selection and depending on your setup, easier to upgrade if your graphics aren't as nice as they use to be.

I use a Razer seiren I got when I started school(computer animation) so I would have something nice to do voiceovers for animations for class. It works pretty decently. nowhere near as rough as the webcam mic i use to use.
