If there could be a link to a random video from the channel, it would be extremely useful when creating cards (but I don't know if that link would be accepted as a card). For instance, this website creates a link for a random video from a channel you choose.

I don't know if YouTube would accept the link, which is the problem. Tagging @Phil, for his thoughts!

Yep, I tried it, it does not accept any other links than YouTube video links, unfortunately. But it would be awesome if there could be a way around it. Just imagine, being able to give a random video as recommendation from a channel! :) That would be so useful and it would (easily) eliminate the need to use the same video over and over again when applying templates (given thanks to TubeBuddy). :)

    Just dreaming... :p

Kind of sounds like YouTube's "Best for viewer" in end screens :)

It really is. But it would be for any in-video card, and it would allow the users to not having to change the video for each newly uploaded video (as the template set might get old after a while). I mean, not that it is hard to change those, but it is a few additional steps for sure and it would allow different videos to be promoted each time. :)

But you can have a link to an approved website in a card.

Yeah that could be a solution actually. But I'm not sure which websites exactly fall into that category, is there a list? :D

It's actually your own website that can be pre-approved through YouTube. But you could have a plug-in or something that would apply those features that you're looking for. I have two websites off of YouTube that I can put in my cards.

Ah, I see now. I actually have done it but never used it. :D I will see if I can develop a code to do it via my website maybe. That would be interesting. :)

But still, TubeBuddy could maybe do this and get verified universally (for all accounts) so that everybody could use it. :)

All you would have to do is create a blog post, embed a video and write a description about that specific video you want to promote on a Youtube video. One of the many bonuses is the blog post will rank in the search engines and bring more watch time and subscribers to your YT channel.

Embedding YouTube videos in blog posts (especially if you use WordPress or other blogging software) is very simple, I agree.
