    Hi everybody,
this is Slim from Iakauapunka Records.
I knew about Tube Buddy surfing on Youtube and I'm glad that I found this community.

I'm from Italy, I love music and this is the reason why I recently started a Youtube channel.
I produce my music on my own and I want to share it.
This is a beautiful journey: writing a song, mixing it, making lyrics video. This is what I sarted to do and why I'm here.
I want to start reviewing my favourite plugins too, in this way new people can learn new stuff, as I'm doing in this beautiful journey! My goal is to have a weekly release time.

Thanx for your attention and I wish a beautiful day to all of you guys!!!

Thanks for your welcome, I appreciate.
As I see that you're interested in what I'm doing, I'll go more in depth.

I've definetly always been a punkrocker!
Now I've got three projects I'm working on:
    - The Same Old Story, my main band, punk-nofx style oriented
    - Trio Cim: alternative rock oriented band
    - The Horizons: my solo project. In this one, I made drums, classic guitars, bass, violins and voice. This is more ballad style, but I think my influences come across, but in a different way.

Until this moment, I made one lyric video for each one of the three bands, using Filmora as video editing software.
I'm still trying to improve my mixing skills, thanx to channels as Recordingrevolution and many other youtubers who help people to start producing their own music.

I think that the first thing is passion, and the second one is having fun, anyway!!!!

Nice to meet you! I took a look to your channel, cool stuff there!!! I'm using Mooer preamp as well and I love It.
My daw of choice is Reaper, that's light, powerful and easy to use.
    What's your favourite?

Pretty cool! I've never liked rock much myself, but country is really good. My favorites would be techno, trance, jazz and hip hop. I'm often drawn to music without much lyrics for some reason.
Your projects there sounds pretty awesome and I wish you the best with them!

Welcome to the forum!!!After one month in this forum I am happy to see more music channels here.I think music channel is the least common type of channel here :p I hope there will be more music channels and I am sure this will be good for all of us.And for the end I have a question.I have steinberg ur22mk2 audio interface and boss gt100 guitar effects processor. But the sound of my recordings is digital and I don't like it.What could I do to make the sound normal?I heard 2 of your songs and because their record is good I hope that maybe you can help me.

    Well, thanks a lot, DragoNate!!!
I think that your "country" definition fits well for my project The Horizons. I like hip hop as well, especially if it's punk-metal influenced... Onyx and Biozahard, for example, or Zebrahead. I wanna try to make some beat myself, probably with some distorted Guitar too

I'm glad to see music channels here, too!
I'm happy that you like my sound, It was a long trip to achieve it...
I think your hardware is good for sure, you probably have to work on your sound, in your daw.
First: eq, high pass filter at 100 hz, for a starting point and a low pass at 15 thousand hz. You can go down with the low pass, as much as you want a killer sound.
Second: compression, for having a more in your face sound.
Third: a bit of reverb and a bit of saturation, maybe.

Try this and let me know if you find your sound!!!
    Cheers

The hip hop stuff I've really enjoyed so far is from a guy on YouTube called iinfynite. No lyrics or anything, kinda repetitive and short, but still very nice tunes IMO.
I think making a beat like you mentioned would be pretty neat!

Ok thank you very much Iakuapunka.I will try to record again and apply what you said and I will come back for the results.Ginger Lefty thank you too.I just hope that the records will sound more "natural" because if I decide one day to upload something with my electric guitar maybe the sound of the record will hold me back from doing this...

Guys I tried what you said to me.I have to say that the only things I new until now was eq and compression. After this try my sound was better but again it was not 100% what I would like.So I think I need to learn more for these things and learn how to use them more efficiently to make the sound that I like.Everything needs practise I think :p
