YouTube Question Using copyrighted music on Youtube shorts

I was led to believe that recently YouTube now allows youtube shorts to use copyrighted music so thought I would test the water.
I uploaded my short through which was 45 secs long using YouTube Studio and after the copyright checks, it stated that copyrighted music was found, but not a copyright strike and does not affect my channel. I could use the music but the video would not be monitsation.
I then uploaded a shorter video, this time less than 15 secs as I had read that it can allow the use of copyrighted music, however the exact same result as above.

Do any other people use copyrighted music without any YouTube restrictions?

I get that sometimes no strikes but they say its copyright music. When you see this and says (no strikes) It just doesn't look clean to your future channel. It is regardless best to remove the actual music and change the music. Even if you Youtube does not get you a strike at all..... It just simply does not look good in your youtyube studio videos... Because every little tiny bit is like 1% noted by YouTube that if you keep doing this even if YouTube says (no strikes) it just (Its like saying your simply building up blocks of towers for how many Copyright music you have in your videos even if it says No strikes.. It can effect your videos in the long run if you keep doing this....) the more you get these Copyright words but no strikes... It sort of almost like saying Youtube is aware you keep putting copyright music even though its no strikes but it cane cumulate over time where you might not even get PAID well at all if that video has a copyright if you want your channel to grow into the future....

I personally regardless i get (no strikes) my lesson is.. get rid of that copyright music even though it wont impact my channel nor the video. But it MIGHT impact my future presences of my videos such as getting paid by youtube when i have many subscribers along the way for each video i create and have on my channel.

So its best to make every single video you own (clean) and no (Copyright) even if some are not strikes at all. It can built up more of these which looks pretty bad for your channel in the long run.... I always keep all my 200 videos super clean so that my channel becomes the best of the best and cleaner so Youtube are happy with me and im happy with Youtube. And not have SOME videos in your channel with SOME Copyright music.. even if they are not a strike and lets you use it.. Its always going to be there and it will look not very clean at all...

Do it right. Make your channel the best clean as posible. Think of it this way... Do NOT leave behind the left over food on your plate because everytime you do that your simply (percentage) throwing out bit by bit a waste of food by your own pocket money each time you buy food) You want that pizza... your hungry but why leave some behind like the grust...... you might as well eat everything thats why YOU brought it and thats why YOU are hungry in the first place otherwise your going to have this messy getting used to the whole left overs.. Same with DO not make your channel messy.

I always use Epidemic Sound website..... its not free but you can try 30 days trial or something look up for Epidemic Sound for all your copyright needs music and sound effects.

Good luck and remember do not leave behind these ugly words where one video or videoS says (copyright music found) because your videos will look not very clean at all.... Other then even if Youtube says No strikes.... It MIGHT get your copyright music videos uncertain future in the long run and i mean later in the future.... Don't built up these copyright words because your simply building up a tower full of them each 1percentage......

Your best bet is keep your channel SUPER CLEAN so Youtube are happy and your happy otherwise Youtube is looking at your channel for (POSIBLE COPYRIGHT MUSIC in the future) because you keep letting this happen.. They might think your one of the many people who are (slightly breaking the rules of youtube) even if your not... you could end up in the Bad list without you notice as you keep building up many copyright music even if youtube does not strike you on that particular music. Your just leaving behind the mess of your video content list... Dont waste your time.. and work your channel clean ALWAYS so it can grow BETTER rather then trash behind.

I have 200 videos made.. theres only 1 video with copyright music but no strikes... It was a 20 hour marathon video added all together special video... anything that has many hours in a video can NOT be able to EDIT or fix the copyright music part of that 20 hours video.... so i cant fix that becaause its a very long video... You can fix anything upto i think 4 hours long videos ? But anything after that you cant even re-edit that video or fix the copyright music part of the video.... So lesson learned. But that is OK.... just make SURE YOU do not have a (few of copyright music videos in your channel even if they are not a strike at all) it will built up over time and youtube will look at you for possible Breaking the rules as in copyright music in your videos again like above this.... Dont leave behind the trash... otherwise your not getting paid well if u ever want your channel to grow and clean... Yes im aware all this is a major headache but don't use music that you dont own. perhaps use Epidemic Sound or something similar JUST to be on the SAFE side and well into the future as you grow your channel

I personally always follow Youtube rules i want to be FAMOUS and i want to be popular on youtube into the future.. Not having a channel with a few MINI strikes or these with words (copyrights music)

Thanks Kenjackson, you are correct, I do not like the unclean 'strikes but no actions' on my channel, so have deleted straight away. I have tried over the years to thank the musician, record label and as much as possible, but it never seems to help.

If any know a good place to pay for copyright music for a Youtube short then let me know., thanks

Firstly, why are you trying to do this? YouTube has a database of free music you can use without restrictions, so there is no need to try to do what you are doing. Secondly, what you are doing is trying to make money from someone else's work and deprive them of compensation. Not cool man. Not cool at all.

Go to YouTube's Creator Music database and find some music to use from there. If you have a TubeBuddy Pro subscription, you have access to thousands of free copyright-free music to us via your TubeBuddy account. There is no reason to try to take another creator's work.

Not a problem. I always use Epidemic Sound website. Its not for free. But they give you 30 days free trial before you pay. The cost per month is about i believe 18.00 US dollars per month. And you can then select as many thousands of music styles.. rap... techno.. pop music.. classical... jazz... and other things like sound effects too... You can then set up your account and add your YouTube channel there so that Epidemic Sound website knows your channel as you become part of Epidemic sound so you don't get no strikes at all for using Epidemic sound website music selections for your YouTube videos when you edit your videos...

Thats exactly what im using since last year. They very good. I basically paying PER month... But they also have option to pay once a year which is well if its about 18.00 US dollars per month thats like over 100 dollars in 1 year. So pay the full cost for 1 year subscription and you dont have to pay per month. Which i should do eventually Since im always using Epidemic sound website monthly for my weekly videos specially my intro music background is music from Epidemic sound website.

There are other similar websites that does the same thing as Epidemic Sound website. But thats all i know. The music at Epidemic sound is very high grade sound of music.

So protect your videos with NO copyright music this and that.... I guess Its total Youtube rules and we all have to follow the rules.. Do not ever let the careless wonder because if YouTube gets angry to your channel you will end up loosing your entire work on youtube.. Its like Youtube will fire you OUT of Youtube with all the damn hard work you have put into your videos..

So yes avoid any copyright strikes even if its Ok to use the music. You will still have that copyright warning label on your video files... So it wont look good even if Youtube lets you use the music. Its best to re-edit your video and avoid any Words with COPYRIGHT on your videos. I have 1 that last 30 seconds But thats because the one of my video is 11 hours long which means like i said above this... Anything above 4 hours videos you can NOT edit it via your youtube or delete something once u uploaded that video because its a very long video file and youtube cant keep up for you to edit it.... So lesson learned by me. I believe anything below 4 hours video contents if you get a copyright message you CAN edit the video because the video is under 4hours long doesn't matter if its 15min or 2 hours or 4 hours lengthy video content.. But anything above 4 hours if not mistaken its imposible to edit that video and unable to delete that copyright song because anything above 4hours videos is impossible

Thats why theres only 1 copyright video which i cant change it because its a 11 hours video... BUT the good news is.. YouTube allows it to play the music But its still a copyright short song in that video.

We all learn here guys so lets do what YOUTUBE says.. As they are the boss and leaders of business to us ants.

And remember DO NOT steal someone else content. Because from now on my videos already includes a implemented watermark label name on my videos to make it slightly harder to try steal my videos because it has my youtube NAME on my VIDEOS to make it kind of frustration for the robbery to try DARE steal my content videos.. Oh though.. will see about that otherwise ill have to make my label name larger then normal which ruins the view of the video..... Anyways protect your videos guys.
