So should you protect your video work that you do on Youtube? Think about it this way.... i have over 100 videos. Only by out of curiosity i seach the name of the city and the walking video.. on youtube. Notice someone was using a part of my video for his own video production WITHOUT telling me first without crediting me at all.. I then manage to tell youtube administration and very soon then later within hours after filling a form... Youtube deleted that persons video.. Even though the person took some of my video for his own video which was no more then 30 seconds long. The users video is about 1 hour long with other random stolen videos all merched together to make a documentry... I regonised my video in it which was 30 seconds long but youtube deleted that persons video. I was so happy thanks to youtube and the effort. I had to fill a form and everything.
So... Having said this... It is very strange youtube wont tell you if someone has stolen a bit of your video content or anything. It was only me who i manually search around watching other bloggers and somehow regonised a bit of my video content in someones else video. Im suprise youtube didnt even alerted me... Now i wonder HOW many more other users are using bits of my content..... because youtube wont even tell you regardless.. Unless you do it manually by watching video after video of every users out there in your local town.
Well... Should someone like me add a watermark logo on the video brand name? Now i dont want to sound like im scared thinking someone is using my content.. or that im paranoid. Im just frustrated.. its like as if my videos are free given when they not. They there to SHARE... But they not there to steal bits of my video content for your own documentry video.. Without email me about it or without even giving me credit about it. Its a law and a rule. But i guess no one cares so its most likely your video is been stolen or used part of your hard work video in someone else video without you knowing a single thing. Thats a big problem.... youtube seems to not tell you that dispite theres a settings that will warned you if someone is using your video... But yeah..
What do you think folks? It is a big worry... you work so hard to create video content.. it takes YOU hours to create and edit a video afterwards... to share it world wide... until later someone out there will take bits of your video content for thier own pleasure and design for someone else user...
Remember your video you do and created and film by you is your own COPYRIGHT video contents.. But does all this mean regardless how copyright your videos are by you as the owner no one cares anymore?
Tell us about it... Maybe watermark logo on the video i dont no..... Anything goes on youtube with so many people using it... think of it this way your videos is in the public.. anyone out there 1 or more users at random times will someday or somehow steal bits or parts of your video content.... you work hard for it and your the owner of your work.. dont leave the door open at night thinking no one will steal your things.,.. keep it shut all times... Is youtube videos like that? NO.. then what can you do about it.
What can you do about it.... i guess you cant put a lock on every video you do for public... but stealing is super wrong. Share video is GOOD but stealing is a diferent story all together
Thanks
