Title of thread: Travel channel review
Self review: I just started 5 weeks ago a travel channel, and i would love if someone could review the channel so i could improve as i go. I am trying to post one video per week. I try to make interesting thumbnails. Looks like i am losing viewers in the beginning of the video.

I think the audio quality can be better by maybe adding a mic above your head out of the shot, that may allow for viewers to hear better what is being said. I struggled with this early on, and made some adjustments as I went along.

I really love your imagery and drone footage (I assume it's a drone cos the aerial pictures are stunning). In the few videos I watched, I think you are doing a great job in capturing the vibe and character of the island/resort where you are staying in at the moment. It has a travel vlog feel to it, so if that is what you are going for then you are doing a really good job. I think you definitely need to get a better mic, that should improve the sound quality a lot. I also think you could make the bits when you or your partner a speaking a bit snappier, add maybe a few more edits to keep the viewer engaged. Other than that it is a fabulous start and the most important thing is that you should keep going.

Thanks very much for your feedback. :) I noticed also that the quality of the audio is not the best.
I will buy a mic :)
Thanks again to taking the time ❤

I went and checked out your Bali video and I thought it was awesome. I do agree with Jason Goodson about the audio quality though. However, I blog about travels too, and I completely understand how difficult it can be to get a quite moment when you’re on the move. You can’t help background noise! However, when you’re editing, you can do voiceovers, and I’ve found that really helps with audio quality. I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you very much for the insight! We are checking out some Bluetooth microphones, hopefully soon we find something good, as the idea is always to improve. I gotta say, we are not big fans of voiceover as it takes the moment away, the emotion from the shot, but we do consider it sometimes & also doing some trials here and there, especially when we got no control of the background.
Thanks for your time ❤
