Depends, if you feel like the vid is good, you could use something like vid2vid promotion or, if you have access to the community tab, you could push it there.
I have a friend on yt, they don't have many subs (neither do i). is their a way i could promote them as of now, even though 1i have under 50 subs. Thank you!

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to use canva. it is just style. I personally make the trickier elements in lunacy, screen shot them, remove the background, then up load. I say that you should use another software for the trickier elements.
I think that The zombie thumbnail is very good. It is simple, and though i have not play call of duty, the picture i think describes it. And Your branding does not need to be a logo or character in each thumbnail. maybe just the color red and the color blue could be your branding. But back to...
Though i am no expert, I would say put the key word phrase that describes your video topic. Then use the common tags tool on TubeBuddy to see related. Pick a few, repeat what you just did. Rinse and repeat.
I agree. Visual quality is not the top priority. the delivery and your personality are the most important things. Although the visual quality should not be neglected.
